Diane Dimond Leaves Court TV

Diane Dimond, who reported the Michael Jackson trails for Court TV, has left the channel in order to write a book about the trial.

What a lot of reading material there is going to be out there!

Court TV will be hosting a book party for her in November.

Ms Dimond is quoted as saying:

"I had a tremendous ride at Court TV. It was terrific. I was in that courtroom every day for 14 weeks. But it cost a lot to have an investigative unit. The unit was there because of me. I was a freelancer for them, and I came to them with a story."

Dimond has been criticised for her perceived anti Jackson "bias" in her reporting style. During the trial Dimond was allegedly stalked by an undercover private investigator, and verbally abused by some Jackson fans.

Quote:

"I defy any of these people that say I'm pro-prosecution to point out one program where I don't give both sides. I've never said he's a paedophile. I've never said he's guilty. I've said it's inappropriate for a 46-year-old man to sleep with other people's children. He says he's innocent. My response is that society doesn't see it that way."

The book will be published by Simon & Schuster, and will be called "Be Careful Who You Love: Inside the Michael Jackson Case."
