This trial is occurring because the boy's family accused Jackson; thus, the only racism the Jackson family can claim is the family's. Frankly, that's not credible. They were involved with Jackson three years and stayed at his home. They also shot a rebuttal tape clearing him before the alleged molestation began. Hardly KKK members. Nor could racism have allowed Sneddon to pursue them. He needed accusations to forge ahead with a trial. Right or right? What the public feels matters less. I do not think it is at all race, but the public is not responsible for this trial, which is Jackson's real trouble now. We did not compel, or even coax, the family or Sneddon to pursue this. I am not blasting the Jackson family for implicating race. Who wants to believe their son is a pedophile? You would cling hopelessly to any possibility that he was innocent, and I am also keen to take account of that family's overwhelming suffering. This has to be incredibly hard for them. Nothing hurts worse than seeing a loved one suffer when you can do NOTHING to mitigate it. That said, it is clear that they have deliberately avoided the breaking evidence in this case that frankly condemns Jackson. He's my favorite artist, a personal icon, and I will always love him. I hate to say that I think he is guilty, but ignorance was bliss. I searched The Smoking Gun, Court TV, and paid attention to leaks. The truth hurts. I hate to see his legacy writhe in the sewer the way it did, because he did wonderful things for minorities--and every else, for that matter--in the entertainment field. He was every bit as huge as The Beatles, but not will be reduced to Celine Dion if he is lucky.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
