Civil and Criminal Probe
Carmen Trutanich, city attorney for Los Angeles, has launched a "civil and criminal" probe into the $1.4M expenditures incurred by LA for the Michael Jackson memorial on 7 July.
Attorney Trutanich told Los Angeles city councillors:
"Our investigation has taken an unanticipated turn."
Correspondence has been exchanged with AEG Live, the Jackson promoters that own the Staples Center in LA, wrt monies spent.

Not Bad?
Jermaine Jackson is objecting to the proposal that the late Michael Jackson's corpse should be buried in a public graveyard in LA.
Jermaine claims that his brother should not have to share the ground with people who "have done bad things in their life".
We come into this world naked and leave it naked of pretensions, egos and money.
Where the corpse lies is irrelevant.

Death and Taxes
There are only two certainties in life, death and taxes.
Even the late Michael Jackson could not escape paying tax, as Showbiz Spy reports.
It seems that the Internal Revenue Service is planning a $100m raid on Jackson's estate.
This amount will will have to be paid before any money from Jackson's royalties are paid to his heirs.
