Jackson Comes To London
In a surprising volte face, despite health concerns (alleged earlier in the week by his lawyer), Michael Jackson has agreed to come to London to give evidence at the high court where he is being sued for $7m by Sheik Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Jackson's lawyer, Robert Englehart, told the court that Jackson's doctors have given him the all-clear to travel this weekend.
Jackson will appear on Monday.

Sick Day
Seemingly, according to Michael Jackson's legal team, he is too sick to travel to the UK to appear at the High Court wrt the $7M allegedly owed by Jackson to Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Jackson wants to be able to give testimony via video link.
Sheikh Abdulla's lawyer, Bankim Thanki, is a tad cynical about the severity of Jackson's illness. He noted that if the alleged diagnosis is positive, it could be treated with a bandage.
Quote on Billboard:
"It's not the first time a sick note has been presented by Mr Jackson."
The question over whether Jackson appears or not will be answered tomorrow.
The case continues.

Shiekh Claims He Wrote Songs
Bankim Thanki QC, lawyer for Sheikh Abdulla (who is suing Michael Jackson for $7M), spoke int eh High Court yesterday.
"The idea was to create a new recording label to kickstart his musical career.
The idea was to relaunch his career from a base far away from his well-publicised criminal trial."
Mr Thanki claimed that Sheikh Abdulla wrote a song that Jackson recorded the day after his trial ended in California in 2005.
The sheikh wanted to release it as a charity single to help victims of the Boxing Day tsunami the previous year.
Jackson is expected to give evidence via videolink from Los Angeles.
The case continues and is expected to last 12 days.

Jackson Faces Court Case
Another day, another court case!
Michael Jackson is being sued for $7M in the High Court in London today by Sheikh Abdulla Bin Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa, son of the King of Bahrain.
The $7M claim relates to allegations that Jackson reneged on a record deal made in 2005, when Jackson stayed in Bahrain.
The sheikh claims that the proceeds of the project were to be used to repay money he had loaned Jackson.
Jackson claims that the payments were "gifts", and that the project was never finalised.
It is unlikely that fans of Jackson will glimpse him in the High Court, the nature of such cases is that a settlement may well be agreed outwith court.

Prince Sues King
Prince Abdulla Al-Khalifa of Bahrain is suing the "king of pop", Michael Jackson in London for $7M plus damages.
Prince Abdulla, according to Fox, claims that he as an agreement with Jackson that obligates Jackson to record two albums, write and produce a live Broadway kind of show with Jackson's music and a cast album, and to write and publish an autobiography.
Unfortunately, it appears that despite the Prince bankrolling Jackson for a year in Baharain after the child molestation trial and advancing him $7M, Jackson has not honoured his obligations and left Bahrain (seemingly for good) in June 2006.
A very silly way to behave to someone who has helped you out.

Jackson To Be Sued By Prince
The words "Michael Jackson" and "sued" these days tend to be rather synonymous.
This time Jackson is being sued, as opposed to suing. His one time friend, Prince Abdullah of Bahrain, is taking Jackson to court.
Prince Abdullah took Jackson and his family in after the 2005 child molestation trial. Having looked after Jackson and entourage, the Prince wanted to start a record company with the King of Pop.
Various agreements were signed, then nothing happened. The Prince is now fed up with this inactivity and is suing Jackson to honour the agreement and to do some work, eg make a record.
The case is being brought in London.

Jackson's Tapes Held
It seems that Michael Jackson's decision to split away from Bahrain's Two Seas Records, which he confounded, has not gone down very well with his ex founding partner Prince Abdullah of Bahrain.
Prince Abdullah has blocked the release of Jackson's much vaunted charity single, and is refusing to hand over the master tapes.
Seemingly the Prince has bankrolled Jackson to the tune of $3M, and is pissed off that Jackson has walked away (apparently due to the Prince's desire for more female voices on the record).
The question is, who will bankroll Jackson now?

New Deal?
It is reported that Michael Jackson is signing a new record deal with the Prince of Bahrain.
Jackson has agreed a deal with 2 Seas, the label of Prince Abdulla Hamad Alkhalifa.
Allegedly Jackson has written one new song, 'I Have This Dream', which will be released as a single on the label.
50 Cent is also about to record a song with Jackson.
50 Cent's bandmate, DJ Whoo Kid, met with Jackson during a recent trip to Bahrain. DJ Whoo Kid gave Jackson a tape with the proposed track, so that he could listen to it before making a decision.
Where is the hurricane Katrina single then?

Jackson Breaks With Bahrain
Michael Jackson has left Bahrain, amid reports that he has fallen out with Prince Abdullah of Bahrain, and returned to stay with his family in Encino California.
He would have doubtedly gone back to Neverland; however, because of unpaid wages and insurance, Neverland has been closed by order of the state of California.
In one small bright piece of news for Jackson, it is reported that his sister Janet has brought Michael's $2.2M mortgage on the family's Encino home.
Had she not done that, it is likely that he would have had nowhere to stay.

Katrina Album May Be out...Soon
Six months after hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, Michael Jackson's much vaunted single allegedly designed to help the victims may actually be released; soon.
In a telephone interview from Dubai last week, Sheik Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the son of Bahrain's king, is quoted as saying:
"The record is coming along great. We've been taking our time to perfect it and mix it."
The working title for the single is now "I Have This Dream". Guest artists, according to the Prince, include; Snoop Dogg, R. Kelly, Ciara, Keyshia Cole, James Ingram, Jackson's brother Jermaine, Shanice, the Rev. Shirley Caesar and the O'Jays.
The Prince said that the release has been delayed because additional artists wanted to contribute.
He won't say who though:
"I'd like to keep that as a surprise."

A Song For Katrina
Michael Jackson has identified a way to bring his brand back from the dead, he will record a song for the victims of hurricane Katrina.
He has written a song called "From The Bottom of My Heart" and, in an attempt to emulate "Live Aid", is trying to enlist other musicians to join him in a recording project to raise funds for the relief of Katrina's victims.
Jackson's spokesman said:
"In response to the widespread devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina, recording superstar Michael Jackson has been moved to pen a song, with the working title, 'From the Bottom of My Heart,'
Within 24 hours, Mr Jackson will be reaching out to other recording superstars asking that they join him in this project to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina
All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the victims of Hurricane Katrina."
Jackson will record the song on Two Seas Records, a label owned by Prince Abdullah Hamad Alkhalifa of Bahrain.
Jackson is quoted as saying:
"It pains me to watch the human suffering taking place in the Gulf Region of my country
My heart and prayers go out to every individual who has had to endure the pain and suffering caused by this tragedy. I will be reaching out to others within the music industry to join me in helping to bring relief and hope to these resilient people who have lost everything."
