Further problems have beset plans by Michael Jackson's mother (and three of his siblings) to hold a tribute concert in Cardiff on 8 October.
Aside from the fact that Jermaine and Randy Jackson are opposed to the event, the executors of Jackson's estate are none too pleased that permission has not been sought from them to use the name "Michael Jackson" in the concert.
The late star's name in it own right carries value, and those who seek to make money out of using it in concerts need permission from the estate.

More Law Suits
Michael Jackson's spokeswoman, Raymone Bain, issued a statement on Thursday in response to various reports about Jackson that she called "untrue, defamatory and malicious in nature."
One report, denied by Bain, was that Jackson was confined to his bed and relying on medication.
Quote:
"In fact, Mr. Jackson is doing very well, and conducted a meeting with his advisers yesterday, which included former Attorney General Benjamin R. Civiletti and Reverend Jesse L. Jackson Sr. among others."
Regarding speculation that Jackson suspects that his older brother Randy has been stealing from him, Bain said:
"Mr. Jackson does not believe that his brother Randy Jackson has stolen monies from him.
Nor does he believe that Randy, or any of his family members, would ever steal from him."
Bain also dismissed suggestions that Jackson was being evicted from the Las Vegas mansion that he has been renting.

"He decided not to exercise the option to purchase the house.
Period."
She was also dismissive of reports that he was going to tour Europe:
"There was no press release issued from Mr. Jackson's organisation regarding any European tour plans.
Despite reports to the contrary, Mr. Jackson is currently in the studio putting finishing touches on his music."
Bain flatly rejected reports that Jackson is either losing or selling his share in the Sony/ATV catalogue, quote: "ludicrous" and "without merit."
However, whatever the validity or otherwise of those reports, Jackson has a few other problems to deal with.
An attorney for Jackson this week said that he would agree to a judgement ordering him to pay $216K to Ayscough & Marar, a Torrance California law firm, that sued him last year for overdue fees.
Ayscough & Marar were hired by Jackson during his child molestation trial in 2005, to obtain court orders to delay discovery in civil cases and to keep information from being released publicly during the trial.
Abelson & Herron, a Delaware law firm, filed suit against Jackson this week. They claim that he owes them $110K, for services regarding a concert promoter who accused Jackson of backing out of two performances scheduled for New Year's Eve 2000.
It never rains, but it pours.

Jackson Claims He Was Robbed
Michael Jackson claims that he was saved from financial ruin by the Rev. Jesse Jackson and billionaire Ron Burkle, during his child molestation trial in California.
The revelations come in a sworn deposition made by Jackson for a federal lawsuit set for trial this week.
Jackson believes that disloyal advisers stole from him while he was busy fighting criminal charges, thus causing his finances to teeter on the edge of the abyss.
Jackson claims that whilst his trial was going on, he was pressured to sign off on a multimillion-dollar financing deal with Don Stabler, one of his brother Randy's associates.
He said the Rev. Jackson and Burkle coached him on how to get through the issue with Stabler, adding that Burkle kept calling and telling him to not sign anything.
Jackson provided this information during discussions with lawyers for the Hackensack finance company, which is suing him in federal court in Manhattan.
Businessman Darien Dash claims Jackson owes his company, Prescient Acquisition, $48M for helping arrange financing to buy out Sony's half of the Beatles' song catalogue.
Jackson claims that he has never heard of Dash, and doesn't remember signing an agreement.
Either there is an agreement, in which case Dash will produce it in court, or there isn't.

Randy Hospitalised
Michael Jackson's brother, Randy, has been hospitalised in Switzerland after suffering a heart attack.
According to reports from the Jackson camp, Randy is "exhausted".

Parental Eviction
Michael Jackson has quashed reports that his parents, Joe and Katherine Jackson, might be evicted from their Los Angeles home.
It has been reported that Jackson's parents are facing foreclosure on their home in Encino, California, and that they have asked their son Randy to beg Michael for financial help.
Given his own financial problems, I would have thought that this was a long shot.
Needless to say, this being the Jackson clan, nothing is ever simple. Reports indicate that Randy wants the $3M he lent Michael, during his child molestation trial, back.
The National Enquirer quotes an "insider" as saying:
"Randy claims that he was the only one who kept Michael afloat, by handling his finances as Michael was desperately fighting to keep himself out of jail on child abuse charges."
Michael's publicist Raymone Bain has ridden to the rescue stating that the eviction stories are "absolutely untrue", and that he isn't "aware" of any claim by Randy against Michael.
The trouble is, Michael being unaware of a claim and there being a claim may well be two different issues in Michael's world.

Another Day Another Trial
It seems that Michael Jackson has some form of addiction to court cases, as yet another one is appearing in his already busy court schedule.
Jackson is now being sued for legal fees he allegedly owes Ayscough & Marar, an LA law firm, who claim that Jackson owes them $200K for their services in 2005.
Attorney Brent Ayscough claims that his firm was hired by Jackson, to provide legal services during his child molestation trial. One of the cases that the firm were allegedly asked to oversee was the suit brought against Jackson by former business associate Marc Schaffel.
Ayscough and Marar's lawyers claim that they were paid on time until mid 2005, when Jackson's legal fees were paid out by his trial lawyer Thomas Mesereau's company.
They claim that the money paid to Mesereau was to be spread around several law firms, who were all working for Jackson. However, Ayscough & Marar claim that they haven't received that money. Mesereau & Yu are not named as defendants in the case.
The lawsuit filed by Ayscough & Marar also details some of Jackson's debts; including $300M to Fortress Investment Group and $1.6M to his brother Randy.
If the allegations are true, it seems that the lesson to be learnt here is that when working for Jackson demand payment in advance.

In Denial
Michael Jackson's publicist, Raymone Bain, who was recently fired appears to be in a state of denial.
She is apparently still insisting that, because Jackson didn't fire her personally, she still has a job.
Bain said:
"Randy Jackson (Michael's younger brother) says I'm fired, but I am still working for Michael until he terminates me. He's the boss."

Stone Broke?
It is reported that Michael Jackson's finances are in serious trouble.
TV networks have cited confidential sources in the Jackson camp, noting that there is chaos in Neverland; pay cheques have been delayed/missed, staff have walked off the job, electricity and phone bills are unpaid and family members have been scrambling to raise tens of thousands of dollars to keep the household together.
Team Jackson deny that there is a problem. However, it is estimated that Jackson's debts may run into millions of dollars.
These debts were incurred before the trial, which is costing a pretty penny in legal fees and time.
ABC News reported that some of Jackson's employees had not had their salary last week. This, the network said, led to an emergency phone conference-call involving various family members; at the end of which Jackson's younger brother, Randy, agreed to raise cash in a hurry.
Other reports indicated that Randy raised $150K, which is allegedly enough to cover only two weeks of expenses at Neverland.
Some estimates put Jackson's monthly outgoings at being around $1M.

Jackson To Take The Stand
Tom Mesereau, Michael Jackson's lawyer, yesterday said that Jackson would tell the jury how Gavin Arvizo his accuser had run wild at his Neverland Valley ranch; drinking wine and looking at porn, while his mother tried to extort money.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it's going to be a long trial and you are going to hear lots of evidence..We are extremely confident that when you do, you are going to find Michael Jackson absolutely not guilty of any of this."

Reports indicate that one of the reasons that Michael Jackson may have switched lawyers, could be down to the influence of his brother Randy.
It seems that Randy may have more of Michael's attention than before.
Randy is a Muslim, who is credited among other things with the decision to bring the Nation of Islam into Michael Jackson's security team.
