Joe Jackson has also added the Las Vegas pharmacy that sold Dr Murray the anaesthetic blamed for the death to the law suit.

Judge Nixes Joe's Death Suit
US District Judge John F. Walter has refused to hear the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Michael Jackson's father (Joe), and noted that Joe would not be likely to collect tens of millions of dollars in damages.

Joe Jackson (the late Michael Jackson's father) is suing AEG Live the concert promoter.

Joe Jackson Sues Conrad Murray

Dr Conrad Murray Charged
Dr Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson's former doctor, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter over the death of Jackson.
Dr Murray has denied the charge, a judge must now decide whether to proceed to trial.
If convicted he could go to jail for up to four years.
Joe Jackson is having none of it, and later told Larry King:
"I don't like those charges. He (Murray) got off too easy in court. Justice, to me, would be the murder charge.
I'm looking for justice for my son. For me he's just the fall guy. There's other people, I think, involved with this whole thing. I think if he's (Murray) interrogated, he would come clean and tell everything he knows."

Fraud Accusations
Joseph Jackson, father of Michael, has made accusations of fraud against those administering his son's will.
Jackson's lawyer, Brian Oxman, filed documents on Monday claiming that Michael Jackson believed that John Branca and John McClain had defrauded him. He also accused both of conflicts of interest, and said that they should be removed from administering the will.
Howard Weitzman, a lawyer representing Branca and McClain, stated:
"These claims filed by Joe Jackson are so outrageous that they don't deserve any response."
Joseph Jackson was omitted from his son's will, all of Michael Jackson's assets went to his mother, his children and children's charities.

Foul Play?
Joe Jackson, father of Michael Jackson, is reported to suspect foul play in the death of his son:
"Michael was dead before he left the house. I'm suspecting foul play somewhere. He was waving to everybody and telling them he loves them and all the fans at the gate. A few minutes after Michael was out there, he was dead."
Quite why he suspects that is not clear.
Whilst that conspiracy theory may make for some very lurid reporting, that some people will believe, the reality is likely to be far more banal (drug addiction, stress and undernourishment) if reports of the preliminary autopsy findings are anything to go by.
Jackson reportedly weighed 51kg at time of death, and his stomach was empty except for partially-dissolved prescription pills.
His hips, thighs and shoulders were covered in needle marks, the result of narcotic painkillers that he took three times a day.

Jackson Going Back to Court
In what seems to be becoming a second profession, Michael Jackson is set to return to court in July.
This time in a continuation of the dispute over the "Jackson memorabilia", that was withheld from a recent auction in Las Vegas.
Jackson is seeking the return of the withheld items.
Janet Jackson, Michael's sister, is also seeking the return of items held back during a May 30-31 memorabilia auction at the Hard Rock hotel-casino in Las Vegas.
Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez ordered 60 items impounded at the Clark County court, while she addressed the thorny issue of ownership. The outcome of that decision could lead to her punishing the company that brought the items to auction.
A contempt of court trial has been scheduled for July 16, after Gonzalez decided that Universal Express of Boca Raton, Florida, broke earlier court orders to withhold some of the 1,100-plus items offered at auction.
Joe Coppedge, a lawyer for the auction house, said that the auctioneer had no stake in the continuing dispute and was obeying the court order to deliver the contested items.

"Per the judge's order, we have delivered 35 items claimed by Janet Jackson and 23 items claimed by Michael Jackson, with two in transit to Las Vegas."
Judge Gonzalez had accepted a confidential settlement on May 30, allowing the auction to go forward. However, she banned Universal Express from "selling, giving, conveying or transferring by any means" the 25 items specified by Michael Jackson's lawyers. Under the settlement, which had been confidential, Jackson's lawyers dropped their effort to block the auction.

Parental Eviction
Michael Jackson has quashed reports that his parents, Joe and Katherine Jackson, might be evicted from their Los Angeles home.
It has been reported that Jackson's parents are facing foreclosure on their home in Encino, California, and that they have asked their son Randy to beg Michael for financial help.
Given his own financial problems, I would have thought that this was a long shot.
Needless to say, this being the Jackson clan, nothing is ever simple. Reports indicate that Randy wants the $3M he lent Michael, during his child molestation trial, back.
The National Enquirer quotes an "insider" as saying:
"Randy claims that he was the only one who kept Michael afloat, by handling his finances as Michael was desperately fighting to keep himself out of jail on child abuse charges."
Michael's publicist Raymone Bain has ridden to the rescue stating that the eviction stories are "absolutely untrue", and that he isn't "aware" of any claim by Randy against Michael.
The trouble is, Michael being unaware of a claim and there being a claim may well be two different issues in Michael's world.

Lawsuit Dismissed
A lawsuit against Michael Jackson, alleging molestation in 1984, has been dismissed.
Jackson proved that he was in California when Joseph Bartucci Jr., a New Orleans-area man, claimed that he was kidnapped and molested for nine days in 1984.
Bartucci claimed that he was forced into a white limousine on May 19 1984, during the New Orleans World's Fair, and driven to California while being molested, held at gunpoint and cut with steel wire and a razor blade.
Bartucci claimed that the emotional and physical trauma had caused him to forget everything that happened until 2003, when he saw a Court TV show about child molestation charges brought against Jackson in California.
U.S. District Judge Eldon Fallon said that Wayne Nagin, who kept Jackson's appointment calendar in the spring of 1984, had given a sworn statement saying that Jackson was rehearsing in California for his Victory Tour from May 20-27 1984.
Judge Fallon also said that Charilette R. Sweeney of Encino, California swore that she had known Jackson since 1976, and remembered talking to him on May 13, 17 and 20 1984, about getting an award from President Reagan on May 14 of that year.

"This evidence conclusively demonstrates that Mr. Jackson was in California from May 19 to May 27, 1984, and could not have been in New Orleans to participate in the events alleged".

U.S. District Judge Eldon Fallon is seeking more information about repressed memories, before deciding whether to dismiss a lawsuit by Joseph Bartucci Jr. who claims that he was molested by Michael Jackson over than 20 years ago.
Jackson's lawyer, Charles F. Gay Jr., has asked Judge Fallon to throw out the suit by Bartucci, because the alleged incident happened more than 20 years ago.
Bartucci claims that he was lured into Jackson's limousine in 1984, and held for nine days during which he was sexually assaulted.
Jackson's attorneys are quoted as saying:

Joe Backs Michael's Move
Joe Jackson, the father of Michael Jackson, has backed Michael's move to Bahrain.
Jackson is going to sell Neverland, and make Bahrain his official headquarters.

Jackson Fined
Michael Jackson was fined $10K yesterday, for failing to appear in court to answer another sex abuse case.
This one is from Joseph Bartucci, who says that Jackson assaulted him in a limousine in 1984.
Bartucci claims that he repressed the memories of abuse until 2003, when he saw news coverage of child molestation charges against Jackson.
Jackson's lawyers say this is another attempt to exploit his wealth and celebrity, they doubt that the accusations will go to trial.

Michael Jackson finds himself involved in yet another court case today.
This time US District Judge Eldon Fallon will be hearing why Michael Jackson should not be held in civil contempt, or have a default judgment entered against him.
Neither Jackson nor his attorney appeared at a hearing last month, in a federal civil case that accuses Jackson of sexual assault during the 1984 World's Fair.
The hearing was a procedural matter, in which Jackson was supposed to show that he had legal representation.
Brian Oxman, a spokesman for the Jackson family, says that the allegations made in the lawsuit are false. He called the plaintiff, Joseph Thomas Bartucci Junior, one of many people who have tried to take advantage of Jackson's wealth and celebrity.
Bartucci claims he was lured into Jackson's limousine by one of Jackson's employees, then held against his will for days and sexually assaulted during a drive to California and back.

Court T-V Drops Case
Diane Dimond, an anchor for Court T-V during the Michael Jackson trial, has dropped a restraining order against Bobby Joe Hickamn who insulted her.
Dimond had claimed that Hickman incited people to attack her. According to court documents, she felt so threatened that Court T-V hired three guards to protect her.
Dimond and Hickman also sued each other over legal fees.
A settlement between the two was reached this week, but both parties declined to comment on details.
